Why Host a Large Wedding Reception

When couples are planning their wedding, they have a number of decisions to make when it comes to the guest list. They can choose to invite all of their relatives, friends, and colleagues, or they can have only those who are closest to them. In fact, some decide to go out to dinner after the ceremony and to entirely avoid Kansas City wedding receptions. However, good reasons exist to throw the party. For most people, a wedding happens only once in their lives. They spend the rest of their existence with their partner. As a result, they do not have that many opportunities to throw large scale celebrations.

Some people do not like to stand at the center of attention, and that is why they avoid a large wedding reception. However, they can tailor the reception to match with their personalities. For example, they may ask all of their guests to join in on their first dance so that they don't have to do it alone, or they may request not to have a grand entrance into the ballroom. Perhaps they will even decide to simply have a dinner reception without any music at all. They can host games or other events at their wedding reception venues. The receptions do not have to be cookie-cutter to include all of their loved ones.

Also, weddings are the beginning of a new journey, and they mark the moment when two families grow into one. By celebrating that event with all of their loved ones around, the couple shows everyone how much they appreciate them. Furthermore, a wedding is not a time when hostility should grow.

Sometimes, parents want to add guests to the list, and they are willing to pay for them. Couples should consider if arguing over these few guests is really worth it. Instead of starting a large fight, they can envision how joyous their wedding day will be and how honored the guests will feel to receive an invitation. After all, the more people who are at the party, the more love that is felt in the air.
